Just 1 kilometer north of the park lies the picturesque Que Mountain, where Bian Que, one of China’s Four Great Classical Physicians, is laid to rest in a scenic mountain valley. The renowned Immortal Tomb is Bian Que’s burial site, a national first-class cultural relic protection area. His statue and beautiful legends attract countless visitors.

Two kilometers north of the Yellow River Forest Park entrance along the road is the Que Mountain Reservoir, which has made great contributions to the citizens of Jinan. Its crystal-clear, boundless waters are supported by long stone embankments shaded by pine and willow trees, while the towering, majestic sluice gate and first-class architectural design draw many visitors for sightseeing.

The Yellow River Forest Park is primarily composed of green trees and shrubs, formed by artificially planted protective belts and forested areas, with 100% forest coverage. It mainly consists of willows, poplars, evergreen trees, expansive lawns, and a botanical garden with a variety of flowers. In spring, summer, and autumn, the blooming flowers fill the air with enchanting fragrances, creating a natural oxygen bar. After years of development, both infrastructure and recreational facilities have been continuously improved, gradually forming a great place for leisure and entertainment.

The park is situated at the north bank wharf of the Luokou pontoon bridge over the Yellow River. Just 1 li (approximately 500 meters) east lies the famous century-old railway bridge, majestically spanning the Yellow River.

If you’re up for more adventure, you can also ride the newly introduced high-tech hovercraft, which features luxurious amenities, air conditioning, and speeds of up to 50–60 km/h, giving you an exhilarating feeling of flying over the Yellow River.
