In Daxue Township, Kaohsiung, a scenic skywalk for bicycles and pedestrians that spans Provincial Highway 29 near the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center was officially completed and opened in October. The bridge spans the Tongling Drainage Channel and Provincial Highway 29. With a length of 200 meters and a width of 4 meters, the colorful asphalt paving on the bridge deck and surrounding landscape planting work have recently been completed. The overall design features a sleek, curving form that resembles creeping vines weaving through the rigid urban jungle. Since its opening to traffic, it has become a new highlight for tourism in Kaohsiung.

To alleviate congestion caused by the large number of worshippers and tourists visiting the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center during the Lunar New Year and consecutive holidays, this bicycle and pedestrian scenic skybridge was constructed. The Daxue Scenic Skybridge stretches from the main gate of the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center, crosses Provincial Highway 29, and winds down past the Mingjing Platform on the opposite side, taking on a graceful curved form that resembles vines weaving through the urban landscape. Along with its folding sunshade canopy, it creates a multi-layered material expression. Combined with nearby tourist attractions such as the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center, E-Da Theme Park, Qishan Station Old Street, Meinong Town, pottery kilns, and flower fields, and following the interchange route along National Freeway 10—from the Renwu Interchange, Daxue Interchange to the Qwei End Interchange—it forms a scenic corridor. This is the fourth bicycle bridge in Kaohsiung, following the Zuoying Cuihua Bicycle Bridge, the Gushan Ship Channel Scenic Bridge, and the Zhongshan Triumphal Bicycle Bridge.
