Tomb of Wang Tongzhao

The Tomb of Wang Tongzhao is a Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Site.

The Tomb of Wang Tongzhao is located in Jinniu Mountain Cemetery (now within the pine forest near the south gate of Jinan Zoo) in Tianqiao District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, China. It is the burial site of Wang Tongzhao, a modern Chinese writer and poet. The tomb was built in December 1957. In front of the mound stands a simplified three-bay, four-pillar memorial archway, and the gravestone was erected by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture, with the inscription on the front reading “Tomb of Mr. Wang Tongzhao, Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture,” and a biography of his life on the back. Due to lack of protection and years of neglect, the surrounding area of the tomb has become overgrown with weeds.

On December 7, 2006, the Tomb of Wang Tongzhao was designated as part of the third group of Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Sites by the People's Government of Shandong Province.
