Jinan Luokou Yellow River Railway Bridge

The Jinan Luokou Yellow River Railway Bridge is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Luokou Yellow River Railway Grand Bridge is located in the northern part of Jinan city and is a river-crossing bridge on the Tianjin–Pukou Railway. The Luokou Yellow River Railway Bridge stands as a testament to the powers of the world exploiting China’s sovereignty during modern history.

After the bridge was completed, the area became an important transportation hub connecting the north (Beijing and Tianjin) with the south (Shanghai and Nanjing). For this reason, during wartime, this railway also suffered severe damage. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the government carried out comprehensive technical upgrades to the Tianjin–Pukou Railway, significantly reinforcing bridges and expanding track maintenance, which greatly improved transport efficiency and capacity. This played a vital role in the recovery and development of the national economy.

In January 2018, it was included in the first batch of China's Industrial Heritage Protection List.

In May 2013, the State Council (State Council Document [2013] No. 13) designated the Jinan Luokou Yellow River Railway Bridge as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
