Former Site of the Secretariat of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China

The former site of the Secretariat of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China is located in a two-story building at No. 105 (original number) Dongliushui Street, Tianqiao District, Jinan. The building faces the street to the east, featuring blue bricks and small tiles, with three rooms on each of the upper and lower floors. The ground floor originally housed two shops and a gatehouse. The foundation is built of brick, the walls are constructed of stone, and the roof has a single ridge with two slopes, covered with gray tiles, covering an area of over 50 square meters. In front of the building is the Ancient Moon Spring, to the north of the gate is the Ancient Hot Spring, and within the courtyard is the Heart-Cleansing Spring, surrounded by the Five Dragon Pool spring group. This location is secluded and quiet, surrounded by alleys, making it convenient for concealment and quick movement.

From 1922 to 1927, the leading organs of the Communist Party of China in Shandong (successively known as the Jinan Independent Group, Jinan Local Branch, Jinan Local Executive Committee, Shandong Local Executive Committee, etc.) established their secretariat here to carry out revolutionary activities. In 1963, renovations were carried out to restore the interior furnishings of the time. In 1983, during the expansion of the Five Dragon Pool Park, surrounding buildings and courtyards were demolished, and exhibition rooms as well as pavilions were added. About 20 meters north of the former site stands a stone statue of Wang Jinmei and Deng Enming, beside which is inscribed a poem by Dong Biwu titled "In Memory of Comrade Wang Jinmei."
