Tangbao Spring

Tangbao Spring is located in Sìyù Village within Lingyan Valley, Wand Town, Changqing. It gets its name from a mountain spring that is shaded and embraced by the roots of an ancient blue sandalwood tree.

Tangbao Spring naturally flows out from a crevice in the cliff and into an artificial pool built with bluestone. The villagers of Sìyù Village rely entirely on Tangbao Spring for their drinking water. When visitors come here, they will see a clear spring continuously flowing out from the mountain stream. The water pours into the pool with a rhythmic drumming sound, and the spring water in the pool is so clear that the bottom is visible. On the southern slope of the spring pool, there grows an ancient blue sandalwood tree whose roots sprawl across the cliff face like a spider web, sheltering the spring pool. When visitors stand by the spring and admire the view of Tangbao Spring, they will be enchanted and feel completely at ease.

Transportation Tips: Take a bus from Jinan to Wand or Tai’an, get off in Wand, then transfer to a vehicle heading to Lingyan. After passing the “Lingyan Scenic Spot” archway, walk less than 1 li southward and turn onto the road leading to Sìyù Village to visit the spring.
