On the evening of August 11, a man sought help at Wand Police Station, claiming he had walked from Beijing to Changqing but was too exhausted to continue. He asked the police to help find him a place to stay for the night. After questioning, the duty officers learned that the man was Li Changbo, from Jiangyuan County, Jilin Province. He used to work at the Jiangyuan County Health Bureau but quit his job in 2003. He set off on foot from his hometown of Jiangyuan County, planning to walk through all 2,400 counties in China. That day, he walked along National Highway 104 to Wand Town. As it got late and he ran out of money, he had no other choice but to ask the police for help finding a place to sleep.

After learning about his situation, the duty officers were deeply moved by Li Changbo’s perseverance and determination in pursuing his dream. They promptly arranged for him to stay at a local hotel in their jurisdiction, provided him with a meal, and ensured he was well-fed and rested before continuing his journey. The officers also wished him success in achieving his dream and told him that if he ever passed through Jinan again, he should consider it his second home. If he needed anything, he should feel free to reach out to the Jinan Public Security Bureau, which would be happy to assist.
