Last updated 2026-11-08 — The 20th China (Beijing) International RV & Camping Exhibition and the 25th China International RV & Camping Conference, originally scheduled to be held at the RV World · Beijing RV Expo Center from March 11–16, 2020, have been postponed.

More than 700 years ago, thanks to its advantageous geographical location and advanced navigation technologies, Quanzhou in Fujian became an important starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. It was recognized as the “largest eastern port” of its time and rivaled Egypt’s Alexandria Port as the “world’s largest port.” Dehua white porcelain, as a major export commodity, was shipped overseas and gained immense popularity, earning the affectionate title “Blanc de Chine” (“Chinese White”), while Dehua itself was honored as the “Hometown of Chinese White” and the “Cradle of Ceramic Art.”

In January 2020, a filming crew from Fujian TV’s Travel Channel traveled to Dehua to conduct research, location scouting, and shooting. Within just three days, they completed story creation for 11 scenes and successively filmed Dehua’s tourist attractions such as Jiuxian Mountain, Shiniu Mountain, Yueji Kiln, Ceramics Street, and Red Flag Porcelain Factory. The production integrated Dehua’s signature cuisine and key transportation elements to showcase the area’s rich tourism resources. The 2020 special “Coming Home Is the Best Journey – Dehua Return” officially premiered on Fujian TV’s Travel Channel on New Year’s Eve. It was also scheduled during the Spring Festival across various channels under the Fujian Radio, Film and Television Group, including Southeast TV, Strait TV, the Comprehensive News Channel, and the News Channel. Leveraging its resource advantages, Fujian TV’s Travel Channel further amplified the campaign by collaborating with national mainstream and new media outlets, launching a comprehensive, wide-reaching, and concentrated promotional effort that established the “World Capital of Porcelain, Relaxed Dehua” tourism brand both nationally and globally—greatly enhancing Dehua’s reputation and influence in tourism.

“This year, we incorporated more elements, combining personal stories with Dehua’s beautiful scenery and cuisine, all woven into a story about coming home,” said director Liang Poshan in an interview. It is reported that "Coming Home · Dehua Return" integrates Dehua’s scenic cultural landscapes and ceramic art characteristics. Through the perspective of Hery, a rising local artist, and set against the emotionally rich backdrop of returning home for the Spring Festival, the film showcases Dehua’s ceramic culture, natural scenery, and local customs, serving as a window for audiences to learn about and appreciate Dehua.

In recent years, with strong support from the local government, Dehua has become the country’s largest production and export base for ceramic handicrafts. Over 60% of the county’s ceramic products are exported to more than 190 countries and regions, earning it the title of National Quality and Safety Demonstration Zone for Ceramic Exports. In 2019, Dehua actively participated in the 4th China-France Cultural Forum, donating Dehua ceramic relics from the “Tek Sing” shipwreck to the National Museum. It also successfully hosted the 2019 China Dehua Ceramic Expo and Tea Ware Culture Festival, along with a series of events including the “Blanc de Chine” International Ceramic Art Award, art forums, and exchange meetings. Dehua is a world-renowned Capital of Ceramics and also an eco-friendly city blessed with beautiful mountains and rivers. With its pleasant climate, lush forests covering 77.3% of the county, it has been honored as “China’s Best Ecotourism County” and “China’s Natural Oxygen Bar.” Attractions such as Shiniu Mountain, Jiuxian Mountain, Yunlong Valley, and the Ceramic Culture Scenic Area attract millions of visitors. Going forward, Dehua will actively promote high-quality development of all-for-one tourism, allowing residents to share in tourism resources and development outcomes, gradually establishing itself as a nationally renowned tourist destination.
