Basha Village is located in the southeastern part of Changqing District, at the southern end of the southern mountainous area of Jinan City. It borders Mount Tai to the east and Zhonggong Town in Licheng District to the north. The village has successively developed various agricultural sightseeing and leisure parks, including a 1,000-mu premium chestnut garden, ecological tea plantation, pomegranate garden, Yuxing apricot picking garden, Japanese Fuyu sweet persimmon sightseeing and picking garden, and Phoenix Leisure Garden. In 2005, it was designated as a “Provincial Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site” by the Provincial Agricultural and Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site Evaluation Committee. Basha Village is a model village for socialist new rural construction in Changqing District and a provincial-level civilized village. In 2008, it was named a Shandong Provincial Featured Tourism Village. The village has introduced projects such as the Fenghuangling Ecotourism Area, Xinyi Urban Agricultural Sightseeing Park, Basha Self-service Leisure Resort, and Phoenix Leisure Garden. It now hosts facilities including the R&D Base of Shandong University of Technology, the Student Journalists Club of Shandong Sports Morning Post, the Fieldwork Activity Base of Urban Women’s Post, the Wuzhuang Creation Center of Jinan Academy of Painting, the Wuzhuang College Student Social Practice Base of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, sketching bases for art colleges and universities in the province and city, and the Wuzhuang Self-driving Camp of Jinan Tourism Distribution Center. Basha Village is the earliest-developed ecological and folk custom demonstration village in Changqing District.
