Changqing Lake

Changqing Lake is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Changqing Lake is located in Changqing District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. Its name reflects its location near the ancient Qi Great Wall and the source of the Daqing River, as well as the fact that the site of the Garden Expo Park is also within Changqing District. The name "Changqing" carries rich connotations—it not only implies that the lake water remains clear year-round, but also sounds like "evergreen" (changqing), symbolizing the enduring greenery of the four seasons and the vibrant life of the garden’s plants and flowers. "Changqing Lake" corresponds to the city's "Daming Lake," and was ultimately named Changqing Lake.

Located in the core area of the Jinan International Garden and Flower Expo Park, Changqing Lake is primarily fed by the Dachangsha River, which is 2.3 kilometers long. The lake covers an area of approximately 1 square kilometer.

Following the design philosophy of "people-oriented, wide where appropriate, winding where suitable, fostering harmony between people and water, and creating a natural balance," the design of Changqing Lake emphasizes both ecology and livability. It integrates water conservancy with landscape, flood control with ecology, and water access with safety. With extensive greenery, scenic elements, and considerate service facilities, the lake offers residents more urban waterfront natural spaces and leisure areas. Once completed, Changqing Lake Park will become one of the six key nodes of the "Hundred-Mile Gallery" of Qilu landscape culture, combining ecological environment, human history, leisure, and commercial functions.
