The Dacheng Hall of the Changqing County Confucian Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong.

The Dacheng Hall of the Changqing County Confucian Temple is located behind the building at No. 499 Qinghe Street, Wenchang Subdistrict, Changqing District, Jinan City (Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Station). It dates back to the Qing Dynasty. In 2013, it was designated by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fourth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units in Shandong.

The Dacheng Hall is the main hall where Confucius was worshipped. The hall faces south and features a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, spanning seven bays in width and four bays in depth, supported by twelve pillars. Its proportions and structure follow traditional official architectural methods. Originally built during the Song Dynasty, the current structure mainly dates from the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the larger and better-preserved county-level Confucian temples, and its scale is the foremost among all districts and counties in Jinan.

Inside the hall, the carved beams and painted rafters remain exquisitely detailed despite years of age. The Dacheng Hall’s hip-and-gable roof represents the highest tier in traditional Chinese architecture. Its bracket sets feature one upward curve, two upturned arms, and six tiers—design elements that place it above the level of the Confucian Temple of Jinan’s Prefectural School. This reflects the high value placed on education in ancient Changqing.
