Martyrs' Tomb of Fang Zhimin

The Martyrs' Tomb of Fang Zhimin is a cultural tourism attraction, a classic red tourism site, and a patriotic education base.

The Martyrs' Tomb of Fang Zhimin is located at the foot of Meiling Mountain in the western suburbs. Built in August 1959, it covers an area of over ten acres. There are 12 tiers of steps, totaling more than 170 steps, leading up to the tomb, flanked by lush pines and cypresses, creating a solemn and respectful atmosphere. The central part of the tombstone bears the inscription “Martyrs' Tomb of Fang Zhimin” handwritten by Mao Zedong.

The cemetery faces east with mountains at its back and houses a rest area inside, where precious cultural relics related to the life and deeds of Martyr Fang Zhimin are on display.

In March 2018, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in the sixth batch of Jiangxi Province.
