With a childlike heart, come visit the famous Peter Rabbit of England’s Lake District.

I wonder if everyone knows this adorable rabbit, Peter? Honestly, I know his name is "Peter Rabbit," but I’ve never actually read his stories. I just find the art style so comforting, so British, so rustic... This slow trip from Birmingham brought me to the renowned "Lake District."

It’s said to be the birthplace of Peter Rabbit, so of course I couldn’t miss the chance to meet this cute little bunny~ Coincidentally, it was also Mid-Autumn Festival, so we’ll just say this little bunny was our Jade Rabbit in the UK！

My first stop was actually Hill Top, the birthplace of Peter Rabbit. This is the author’s farmhouse. But I’d suggest that if you want to visit Peter Rabbit, it’s better to start with The World of Beatrix Potter attraction (the Peter Rabbit Museum)—it’s more fitting and gives a better feel for the place！

The story statues inside the museum help you quickly get to know Peter Rabbit and also give you a clear picture of the life of the author, “Miss Potter.” Then, when you go to Hill Top afterward, you’ll know which spots are must-sees!!! I went in the reverse order, but still found this place super cute!!!

This is a place that really eats up your film (or memory card). After buying the ticket, we happened to catch the hourly clock performance. We waited a little while, then the door opened automatically and led us into an audiovisual room.

A short film gave us a basic introduction to Miss Potter, the creator of Peter Rabbit, and the world of Peter Rabbit. When the film ended, another door opened, and we officially stepped into the world of Peter Rabbit and Miss Potter.

Wow~~~ this place is so cute!!! Even though I didn’t know the stories, I had a general idea after watching the film.

With that simple understanding, seeing these lifelike statues was just so... whimsical and dreamy. Maybe when Miss Potter created these characters, this is exactly the playful look she saw in her mind!!!

There’s love between unlikely pairs, the romance between a wolf and a goose, and finally... there’s Peter Rabbit—the character who was originally expected to sell only 10 copies.

Wow~~~ I wanted to take pictures of every single one, they’re all so... cute!!! The stories are full of fantastical imagination.

But they also reflect real-life societal phenomena. They feel so familiar, and maybe that’s why these little books and stories have become famous worldwide. Next time, I’ll definitely have to read them properly～

Maybe visiting here requires a childlike state of mind. Maybe the characters are just simple animations that don’t fit modern trends, but this straightforward presentation really made me feel comfortable—not exaggerated at all！

I hope it doesn’t seem too plain for kids with more “sophisticated” tastes. Haha, after I looked it up online later, I found out that some people actually don’t like it.

But if you’re a fan of Peter Rabbit or a follower of Miss Potter, you’ll absolutely go crazy and not want to leave this whimsical world.

When you come to the Lake District in England, you’ll realize that the details in these illustrations can actually be seen in real life. Wow~~~~ once again, it proves what creation really is.

It’s observation plus boundless imagination. I think Miss Potter had already grasped that when she came to the Lake District for holidays as a child. The Lake District is indeed my impression of England—but it’s not the whole picture of the country～

For those visiting the Lake District, besides enjoying the beautiful mountains and waters, don’t forget to explore the celebrities of the area. I’m sure the adorable Peter Rabbit will melt your heart!!! If you like him, head on over to Miss Potter’s farm, Hill Top～

There’s also a mini garden there. Aside from featuring all of Miss Potter’s creations in the fountain, the corners of the garden also hide many surprises waiting for travelers to discover!!!

Before leaving, I had wanted to have afternoon tea here (I heard it’s really cute), but unfortunately, it was already closed due to the late hour... I could only leave with regret and look forward to visiting again next time！

P.S. If you’re a fan of Peter Rabbit, be sure to buy related merchandise in the Lake District—many shops around here have a great selection. Of course, the merchandise in the museum is also super cute and a bit pricey～
