Xianyou Valley, located in Shibi Town, Anyi County, lies within the Xishan Gorge of Meiling, a national scenic area. It earned its name from the legend that immortal beings once traveled here. Covering a total area of over 1,100 acres, including 740 acres of water bodies, it is a resort that integrates tourism, entertainment, dining, and accommodation.

The development of Xianyou Valley has been underway for two years, with the first two phases largely completed and a total investment of 12 million yuan. Phase one involved the construction of a 6,000-meter scenic walkway and more than ten attractions. The walking trail winds its way up along the stream, twisting and turning. The natural scenery is stunning, especially with its abundance of uniquely shaped rocks—divine ox stone, heavenly footprint stone, Lü Dongbin’s sword-testing stone, divine frog stone, Guanyin stone, and longevity peach stone—all naturally formed, lifelike, and remarkably vivid. The caves are equally exquisite, such as the Eight Immortals’ Palace, Dragon Gate Cave, and Dragon Spring Immortal Cultivation Cave, where springs trickle down, offering a cool and pleasant atmosphere. The temperature difference between the inside and outside of the caves is about 10 degrees, making it an ideal summer retreat. The spring water that seeps through the cracks in the cave walls is crystal clear, and when bottled, you can feel a refreshing chill emanating from it. The Eight Immortals’ Palace, about 60 meters long, is said to be where the Eight Immortals once rested during a summer journey. Surrounded by blue skies, white clouds, layered mountains, and oddly shaped rocks, they were so captivated by the beauty that they stayed for several days, reluctant to leave. This legend has been passed down through generations, and the cave where they rested has since been named the “Eight Immortals’ Palace.” Additionally, the valley features an ancient thousand-year-old path that leads all the way to the mountaintop. Legend has it that when the Deity Xu visited the Xishan area, he found the land’s feng shui exceptionally auspicious. He then placed a stone there, which was later shattered by the Thunder God, resulting in the cluster of rocks and the Thunder Struck Stone Pedestal seen in the valley today. In short, traces of immortals can be found everywhere, and every rock has its own tale. The valley also offers leisure spots such as the Longevity Star Garden, Fairy Swimming Pool, Magpie Bridge, Happy Forest, and Jiang Ziya’s Fishing Platform, along with numerous recreational activities including archery hunting, tandem boating, and fishing on the water.
