Introduction:

Luotian Shidafu Mansion (also known as Shidafu Mansion, Qixu Hall, Xuanhua Hall, Tianhe Hall, Dunhou Hall, Xuyi Hall, Qixu Hall) is located within Luotian Natural Village, Luotian Village Committee, Shibei Town, Anyi County, Jiangxi Province. It was built in the year 1762 (the Year of Xin Si in the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty) and was named after the plaque on its gate reading “Shidafu Mansion.” The building covers an area of 4,400 square meters, faces west with its main entrance oriented eastward, and features an eight-character-shaped gateway. It consists of eleven interconnected structures, with four lanes inside, eighty doorsteps, twenty-two courtyards, sixty rooms, eleven halls, and three passageways. The main structure is composed of three buildings aligned along a single axis and interconnected vertically, measuring 15.3 meters in width and 51.8 meters in depth, with four courtyards in depth. The wooden frame of the main building combines the post-and-lintel and Dougong (bracket arm) construction methods to form a spacious and lofty central hall.

The entire complex is grand, dignified, and of impressive scale, with relatively well-preserved structures. Additionally, over 30 plaques are preserved—rare ancient calligraphic artworks seldom seen in residential buildings. The interior decorations feature highly creative carvings with masterful and skillful craftsmanship. The carved patterns are richly varied, vivid, and lifelike. The mansion holds significant value for the study of ancient architectural carving art and boasts considerable historical, scientific, and artistic importance.

In December 2006, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Jiangxi Province.
