Introduction:

The Tongluo Mountain Site is located in Jianfangdu Village, Shibei Town, Anyi County, Jiangxi Province. The site stretches 50 meters from east to west and 30 meters from north to south, surrounded by earthen walls of varying heights. To the west of the site, due to the presence of an excavated irrigation channel, there is a distinct cultural layer accumulation, with the thickest part reaching 1.5 meters, consisting of red clay soil. A vertical pit measuring 1.5×2×0.4 meters was excavated on the western cross-section of the site, yielding twenty-three specimens, including two stone tools, twenty pottery fragments, one transparent object, as well as fired soil blocks, gray-black soil, and charcoal pieces. The pottery fragments feature decorative patterns such as twisted lines, meander patterns, circular swirls, cloud-and-thunder motifs, double-line “” patterns, as well as eye motifs. There are also fragments of containers such as jars, pots, and li tripods. One relatively intact long handle was collected, along with a pottery beater, a broken spinning whorl, and net sinkers.

Shibei Town: Surrounded by green mountains and embraced by a graceful river, Shibei Town is situated in the southeast of Anyi County, approximately 60 kilometers from Nanchang City, 45 kilometers from Changbei Airport, 40 kilometers from Xinqizhou Railway Station, and 115 kilometers from Jiujiang Port. It connects to National Highway 105 to the north and National Highway 320 to the south, with Provincial Road Wanchi passing through its territory. Surrounded by hills to the southeast and west, and with the Nanliao River flowing from the northwest, the town covers a total area of 99.8 square kilometers, including 38,000 mu of arable land, and has a population of 42,000.
