Deng Family Chastity Archway

The Deng Family Chastity Archway is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Deng Family Chastity Archway is located in Dengjia Village, Shibei Town, Anyi County. Built in the year of Xinchou during the Daoguang reign (1841), it was erected by the Qing government at the time to honor the unwavering chastity and virtue of Lady Huang, the wife of Deng Muying from the village. The archway faces south and is a three-bay, four-pillar, five-story stone structure. The construction of the Chastity Archway showcases exquisite craftsmanship and skilled techniques, with exquisitely carved decorative patterns that are highly aesthetic.

In March 2018, it was announced as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Jiangxi Province.
