An Yi Xiong Shihui’s Former Residence

Xiong Shihui’s Former Residence in Anyi is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Xiong Shihui’s Former Residence is situated in Yazuilong Natural Village, Taohua No. 2 Village, Wanbu Town, Anyi County. It was the home of Xiong Shihui, a former Lieutenant General of the Nationalist Army who served in important positions including Commander of the Shanghai Garrison, Chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Government, Director of the Northeast Nine Provinces’ Pacification Headquarters, and Head of the Military Delegation to the United States. Built in 1946, the building is composed of the main house, side rooms, and auxiliary rooms arranged in sequence. It adopts a construction style that blends Chinese and Western elements, featuring scientific design, rational layout, elegant form, and strong practicality.

In March 2018, it was announced as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Jiangxi Province.

Xiong Shihui

His formal name was Xiguang, courtesy name Tianyi, also known as Master Xuesong (1893.5–1974.1). He was from Yazuilong Village, Wanbu Town, Anyi County. He graduated from the Imperial Japanese Army Academy (selected by Sun Yat-sen to study in Japan in 1920 and graduated in 1924). He joined the Chinese Revolutionary Alliance in the late Qing Dynasty.
