The terrain here is rugged on the outside but flat in the center, surrounded by mountains on three sides. The outer edges undulate like city walls, while the interior is neatly square-shaped. During the Southern Song Dynasty, when Yue Fei passed through Wuyuan, he saw that the landform resembled a city and exclaimed, “Truly an ancient city!” Hence the name.

Introduction:

Jishan Mountain in the ancient town has a main peak at an elevation of 465.8 meters and covers an area of 23 square kilometers. The mountain is covered with osmanthus trees. At the northeastern foot of Jishan lies the Qin Hui Cave, a karst cave formed over 100 million years ago during the Paleozoic era. Legend has it that at the end of the Jianyan period in the Southern Song Dynasty, Qin Hui once took refuge here, hence the name.

Fuchun Town: Located in the southwest of Wuyuan, Fuchun borders the porcelain capital of Jingdezhen and serves as the “gateway to Shangrao from the west.” It covers an area of 213 square kilometers, with a population of 22,000, and administers 12 administrative villages, one forest farm, 260,000 mu of forested land, and 22,000 mu of paddy fields. The inter-provincial transportation artery, the Jingbai Highway, runs across the entire territory, and the under-construction Jingwu-Huang (Chang) Expressway has an interchange in Fuchun, giving it significant transportation and locational advantages. The area features famous attractions such as Jinshan Tea Manor, Mandarin Duck Lake, Sanling Mountain, the Ancient Town, and Chongshan.
