Wuyuan, China, October 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As the misty and rainy National Day holiday came to a close, looking back at this golden week, Wuyuan’s seven-day “big tourism” achievements serve as the best reward for all those working hard in the tourism industry.
According to statistics released by the Wuyuan County Tourism Development Committee Office on the 8th, from October 1 to 7, the county received 571,200 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 10.72%; ticket revenue reached 25.1189 million yuan, up 10.23% year-on-year; and total tourism comprehensive income amounted to 318.1486 million yuan, an increase of 8.23% year-on-year. On October 4, the number of visitors peaked at 160,200, marking the highest single-day reception volume.
To enhance tourists’ cultural experience of rural tourism in Wuyuan and improve their satisfaction, the Jiangwan Scenic Area organized a variety of cultural activities such as “Ancient Costume Time Travel” and “Rural Sports Games.” Meanwhile, Wuyuan rolled out a powerful “combination punch”: the “Most Beautiful Journey,” jointly created by three 5A-level scenic spots—Sanqing Mountain, Wuyuan, and Jingdezhen Ancient Kiln—was a huge hit, selling over 600 combined tickets within just one day of going on sale, with individual tourists accounting for 70% of purchases. The three scenic areas, each with its own unique style, offer a 330-yuan pass to explore all three 5A destinations, providing genuine value to visitors. In addition, Wuyuan Tourism Co., Ltd. teamed up with Guangzhou’s “Wanglaoji” (Herbal Tea) to launch an activity where scanning a QR code for “Civilized Travel, I Relay” and sharing it on social media earns participants a special “gift.”
Wuyuan tourism has always been in the spotlight of media attention. During the first golden week after the high-speed rail opened, the tourism scene in Wuyuan was thriving, with a series of creative National Day events unfolding one after another. A range of humanized and distinctive tourism services—including tourism volunteer services, little ambassadors for civility, and information desks—received widespread acclaim, attracting visits from numerous major media outlets. CCTV’s Channel 1 News Broadcast (7:00 PM), CCTV’s Channel 4 International Channel “China News” (7:00 AM and 12:00 PM), Jiangxi Satellite TV, and Jiangxi News Night Flight, among other television media, successively reported on Wuyuan’s tourism situation during the National Day holiday.
