Guide:

Towering on the banks of the Zhexi River at the head of Fengshan Village in the north of Wuyuan County, this pagoda was built during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty. Legend has it that before the pagoda was constructed, Fengshan Village frequently suffered from fires. The villagers built this pagoda to suppress the Fire God and named it Longtian, which is symmetrical with the village name Fengshan, symbolizing the harmony of dragon and phoenix.

Introduction:

Longtian Pagoda stands over 30 meters tall and is built of brick and stone. It has six sides and seven stories, with projecting eaves on each level that gradually narrow as they rise. Iron wind chimes hang from the corners of each eave, producing a crisp, pleasant sound when the wind blows. Inside the pagoda, a staircase leads to the top, offering panoramic views. Built by the stream, the pagoda creates a spectacular sight as its reflection is cast upside down in the water under the bright sun or full moon.
