The so-called Moon Bay is actually a small island shaped like a crescent moon that you pass on the way to Likeng. Next to Moon Bay, you can see a small village and terraced rice fields. The best angle to view Moon Bay is from the nearby mountain, which you can reach by taking a small path beside it. A small viewing platform has been specially built on the mountain, and from the viewing platform, you can see the full crescent shape of the moon. If it’s the peak season for rapeseed flowers, the entire bay turns a golden yellow, creating an exceptionally stunning view.

Not far east of Ziyang Town and en route to Likeng, there is a narrow, elongated island. Wedged between the two riverbanks and shaped like a crescent moon, this is Moon Bay.

Introduction:

Moon Bay is just a small scenic spot along the way, but it perfectly resembles the shape of a moon and pairs beautifully with the Huizhou-style houses across the river. Occasionally, three or five local women washing by the lake attract passersby, who often stop to take plenty of photos.

Located 700 meters east of Ziyang Town, Wuyuan Moon Bay is situated in Jinping Village, Qiukou Town, northeastern Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province, on the way to Likeng. It is an “ecological pearl” embedded in the Xinjiang River of Wuyuan County.

Moon Bay gets its name from a midstream islet in the river that resembles a crescent eyebrow. Nestled against mountains and water, its surface is as calm as a mirror. In spring, the surrounding fields are dotted with golden rapeseed flowers, lush green tea plants, and quaint houses.

Looking out, the bay of water forms a crescent shape, a yellow-green moon lying quietly on the water, with a tiny island and emerald-green lake. The mountains shrouded in morning mist undulate dramatically, while the ancient villages below, with their dark tiles and white walls, appear so warm and inviting amid the rising cooking smoke.

Occasionally, three or five local women washing by the lake attract passersby, who often stop to take in the view—this scene is beloved by visitors and has made it one of the best photography spots for photography enthusiasts.

Qiukou Town: Qiukou Town is located in the northeastern part of the county, bordering Ziyang Town to the south, Jiangwan to the east, Zhanchai and Duanxin Township to the north, and Shikou Town to the west. It covers a total area of 225.52 square kilometers, with a population of 23,382. It administers 15 administrative villages including Baishi, Wangcun, Yutan, Qiukou, Huangyuan, Likeng, Zhanchai, Yankeng, Lingxi, Guanqiao, Qiuxi, Liyuan, Cikeng, Zicha, and Zhuxi, as well as the Shachenghong Community Committee, encompassing 101 natural villages.
