Sixi and Yancun Villages

Sixi and Yancun Villages is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Sixi and Yancun are actually two adjacent villages connected by a small river and a road. Historically, the area produced many officials and merchants, so there are quite a few mansions in the villages. The settlements mainly feature ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, with bluestone-paved paths. The traditional architecture is backed by green mountains and faces clear streams and rice fields, blending harmoniously with the elegant natural scenery of pristine water and lush hills. The 1987 TV series "Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio" (聊斋) was filmed here, which truly brought fame to Sixi and Yancun. Additionally, the area served as a filming location for the TV drama "Blue and White Porcelain" (青花).

Take a bus from Wuyuan Long-Distance Bus Station and get off at Sixi and Yancun.
