Wangcuo Village

Wangcha Village is a little-known small village in Wuyuan. It’s right at the end of the eastern scenic route — Qinyuan lies even further in, but offers even more beautiful scenery and more genuine local life. The village sits at a lower altitude than Qinyuan, so when the flowers bloom, not only do the rapeseed fields on the hillsides and in the fields turn a brilliant yellow, but the peach blossoms and pear blossoms around houses and along streams also bloom romantically. The village consists of six natural hamlets: Outer Wangcha, Inner Wangcha, Chakeng, Canglingjiao, Daqiuling, and Jiuduxiping.

Two guardian ginkgo trees stand at the village’s water outlet. Villagers call them the “husband and wife trees” — not only are their roots intertwined beneath the ground, but their branches and leaves are also entangled above, inseparable.

Wangcuo is a very quiet and beautiful little village, undeveloped and rarely visited by tourists.
