Calligraphic Inscriptions at Lingyan Cave
The Calligraphic Inscriptions at Lingyan Cave are a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.
The Calligraphic Inscriptions at Lingyan Cave are located in Wuyuan County and date from the Song to the Qing dynasties.
Within the Lingyan Cave complex, there are over 2,000 inscriptions and calligraphic works left by notable figures from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. These cliff inscriptions are carved into steep rock faces, combining culture, calligraphy, and stone carving artistry. Historical figures who left inscriptions here include the famous general Yue Fei, the Neo-Confucian master Zhu Xi, Qi Yanhuai, and others.
The Calligraphic Inscriptions at Lingyan Cave have been designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.
