Former Site of the CPC Wan-Gan Special Committee

The Former Site of the CPC Wan-Gan Special Committee is a cultural heritage site protected by Jiangxi Province and a classic red tourism destination.

The Former Site of the CPC Wan-Gan Special Committee is situated in Wuyuan County, in Julujingshan Village, Dabuzhangshan Township. In April 1936, the CPC Wan-Gan Special Committee was founded in Julujingshan Village in northwestern Wuyuan, with Wang Fengqing as secretary and Li Buxin as deputy secretary. The committee governed four central county committees: Qi(Men)Wu(Xiuning)Xiu(Ning), Qi(Men)Fu(Liang)Wu(Xiuning), Fu(Liang)Le(Ping)Wu(Xiuning), and Du(Chang)Hu(Kou)Po(Yang)Peng(Ze). In February 1937, due to a large-scale “cleansing” operation by the Kuomintang army, the committee’s headquarters moved from Julujingshan to Shehuishan in Qimen County.

The Former Site of the CPC Wan-Gan Special Committee has been designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.
