The Chongtian Village Committee (Chong Tian Cun Wei Hui) is located in the western part of Wuyuan, about one kilometer from the town government, commonly referred to as the Western Township. Its earliest settlers were the Qi family, who migrated from Shanjia Village, Xucun Town (now Xucun Town) to Chongtian during the early Northern Song Dynasty. The village lies at the southern foot of Chong Mountain, hence originally called Chonglu (Mountain Foot), later renamed Chongtian. The village is predominantly inhabited by the Qi surname, with secondary surnames including Dai, Cheng, Li, Hong, and Wu.
