Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum

The Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum is located on the former site of Zhushan in Jingdezhen, within the same scenic area as the Imperial Kiln Factory. Visitors need to purchase tickets at the entrance of the Imperial Kiln Factory to enter.

It was called Juzhu Pavilion in the Tang Dynasty, Zhongli Pavilion in the Song Dynasty, Chaotian Pavilion and Huancui Pavilion in the Ming Dynasty, and Wenchang Pavilion in the Qing Dynasty. After being rebuilt in the early 20th century, it was named “Longzhu Pavilion.” Rebuilt in 1987, the Longzhu Pavilion is a six-story Ming-style double-eaved palace building, standing 34.5 meters tall with a floor area of 1,650 square meters. Countless precious cultural relics are buried underground in the surrounding area. Since the Ming Dynasty, the Longzhu Pavilion has been a representative structure of the Imperial Ware Factory and the Imperial Kiln Factory, serving as a historical site of the Ming and Qing imperial kilns. It has now become the city emblem of Jingdezhen.

In addition, the pavilion houses a large collection of precious imperial porcelain and historical materials related to the imperial kilns. Currently on display are blue-and-white underglaze red vases, a massive dragon jar from the Ming Zhengtong era, and other fine imperial ceramics unearthed at Zhushan.
