1949 JianGuo Ceramics Cultural and Creative Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

As a national 3A-level tourist attraction, its main structure is the former Jingdezhen JianGuo Porcelain Factory. The origins of the JianGuo Porcelain Factory can be traced back to the imperial kilns during the Ming and Qing dynasties, which produced porcelain exclusively for the royal court. In the late Qing Dynasty, influenced by the Reform Movement, the Jiangxi Provincial Governor established the “Jiangxi Porcelain Industry Company” under a public-private partnership model. During the Republican era, it became a state-owned enterprise. After the liberation, production resumed, making it the first state-run porcelain factory.

Today, the JianGuo Ceramics Cultural and Creative Park is conveniently located in the city center of Jingdezhen. The park is just one street away from the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Site, a national key cultural relics protection unit. Within a 300-meter radius, visitors can find the Dragon Pearl Pavilion, Buddha Seal Lake, Zhushan Eight Friends Street, the Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum, and several historic lanes that showcase the architectural heritage of Jingdezhen.

Guided by the development philosophy of “preserving historical context, highlighting cultural essence, and showcasing creative charm,” the JianGuo Ceramics Cultural and Creative Park has restored the original factory buildings and kiln sites, fully reproducing Jingdezhen’s traditional handcrafted porcelain techniques. It displays the evolution of ceramic manufacturing and firing processes and innovatively integrates the old porcelain factory with artist studios, art galleries, handmade ceramic experience zones, fashionable dining and bars, and other diverse artistic elements. This creates an international ceramics cultural and creative hub that combines creation, exhibition, tourism, and fashion. On this basis, the park specially hosts a free creative market for university students every Friday and Saturday night, providing a platform for entrepreneurial displays and nurturing a new generation of ceramic creative talent.

1949 JianGuo Ceramics Cultural and Creative Park has become a core area of Jingdezhen’s ceramic culture and industrial tourism, where ceramic culture flourishes and tourism elements abound.
