Huangnitou Kiln Site

The Huangnitou Kiln Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Huangnitou ancient kiln site is located south of Xianboding Natural Village in Huangnitou Village, east of Jingdezhen City, north of Huangnitou Primary School, and approximately 280 meters south of the Jingwu Highway. It was designated as a key cultural relics protection unit of Jingdezhen City in May 1983.

The site comprises two major accumulation mounds, eastern and western, stretching 148 meters from east to west and 90 meters from north to south, covering an area of about 13,000 square meters. The western mound mainly contains celadon ware, white ware, as well as kiln furniture such as spur marks and support pillars. The celadon features a gray body, hard texture, tightly integrated glaze and body, lustrous glaze, and closely resembles the "mi se" porcelain of the Yue Kiln; the white ware has a fine, white body with good translucency, a high degree of vitrification, and pure, glossy glaze.

The eastern mound mainly contains qingbai (bluish-white) ware along with kiln furniture such as saggars, support bottles, and support rings. The vessel shapes include flared-rim bowls, lip-rim bowls, shallow plates, and pouring vessels.
