Autumn Harvest Uprising Square has been recognized as: a National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base, a National Classic Red Tourism Attraction, and a National AAA-level Tourist Attraction.

The Autumn Harvest Uprising Square tourist area in Pingxiang City belongs to the monument (grove) and square subcategory of the main category of landscape architecture and affiliated structures. It is situated at the intersection of Jianshe Road and the Ping River in the city center, and serves as a comprehensive square integrating multiple functions such as commemoration, entertainment, leisure, and exhibitions. Its construction aims to commemorate the great historical event of the Autumn Harvest Uprising while enriching the leisure and recreational life of local citizens.

The square covers a total area of 346 acres, with a greenery rate of 60%. Centered around the Ping River, it consists of the Central Square, Northwest Square, Southeast Square, and Northeast Square. The Autumn Harvest Uprising Monument is located at the heart of the square, occupying an area of 900 square meters and standing 30.9 meters tall. On September 9, 1999, a former national leader inscribed the name of the monument. The Pingxiang Exhibition Hall of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, completed in September 2009 beneath the base of the monument, features an exhibition area of 600 square meters. It vividly recreates the glorious history of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, with a focus on events in Pingxiang, serving as another commemorative site alongside the monument itself. The square also includes infrastructure such as musical fountains, water screen movies, large outdoor electronic color screens, pavilions, corridors, flower stands, and artistic sculptures. These elements come together in a dazzling display, forming a picturesque “urban reception hall” that attracts millions of domestic and international visitors every year.
