Recently, the immensely popular South Korean girl group T-ara was invited to China to participate in the filming of Hunan TV’s variety show “Day Day Up.” This marks their second time appearing on the show. As seasoned guests, T-ara’s return to Hunan has once again drawn enthusiastic welcome and strong support from Chinese fans.
According to the show’s filming schedule, T-ara filmed an outdoor segment in Zhangjiajie. During the outdoor shoot, the group visited scenic spots such as the Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiazhai Village, Baofeng Lake, and Tianzi Mountain. The filming not only showcased the stunning landscapes of Zhangjiajie but also integrated cultural elements such as duets of folk songs and local cuisine, presenting the area’s unique customs and scenery to audiences worldwide from various perspectives.
T-ara participates in a lively ethnic-style bonfire party
The T-ara group is known as the “Most Versatile Girl Group in Korea” and the “Chameleon of the Korean Music Industry,” and is regarded as a queen of Korean pop culture and an immensely influential super idol group. The “Day Day Up” production team not only incorporated Zhangjiajie’s breathtaking natural scenery into the filming, but also included elements such as playing the taozi (a traditional percussion instrument), making glutinous rice cakes, drum performances, and folk song duets to showcase the charm of Zhangjiajie to audiences in Korea and around the world.
A representative from the Wulingyuan District Tourism Bureau of Zhangjiajie City, which coordinated the filming, explained that they hope to promote the beauty of Zhangjiajie through T-ara’s global influence and massive fan base, along with the nearly 80 million viewers per episode that Hunan TV’s “Day Day Up” attracts—helping more people learn about and fall in love with Zhangjiajie.
