Anyuan Film and Television City (Anyuan Splendid City)

Anyuan Film and Television City, also known as Anyuan Ancient City, is located in Huachong’ao, Anyuan Town, covering an area of 68 acres. It is the largest film and television production base in Jiangxi Province and serves as a comprehensive tourist attraction integrating commerce, leisure, and entertainment.

Anyuan Splendid City, also known as Anyuan Ancient City or Anyuan Film and Television City, recreates over fifty architectural landmarks of old Anyuan, such as teahouses, opium dens, ancestral halls, and the workers' club. The site aims to revive the old streets of Anyuan from the 1920s and 1930s, functioning as a replica ancient town that combines film, leisure, and entertainment.

The film city covers a construction area of 10,000 square meters, with its overall architecture featuring antique-style buildings and streets. It includes over fifty scaled-down scenes such as old Anyuan buildings, teahouses, opium dens, ancestral halls, and workers' clubs. There is also a replica ancient street, the Anyuan Classic Film and Television Archives, and a photo exhibition of Chairman Mao with international friends, all aiming to recreate the ambiance of Anyuan’s old streets from the 1920s and 1930s. Additionally, early mining shafts, props, performance stills, and celebrity inscriptions filmed in Pingxiang are also showcased. The completion of Anyuan Film and Television City will further promote the development of red tourism in Anyuan and make it more convenient to film movies and TV dramas set in Anyuan.
