Former Site of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC (Shuifu Temple)

The Former Site of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC (Shuifu Temple) is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Former Site of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC (Shuifu Temple) is located in Zhangjiawan Village, Junyi Road, Anyuan District, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province (near the former site of the Anyuan Military Conference during the Autumn Harvest Uprising, about 1 km east of the Anyuan Memorial Hall).

The revolutionary activity site where the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC was stationed in Anyuan was originally built in 1900. It faces south and is a one-courtyard, three-room building constructed of brick and wood, with a construction area of 158 square meters. The interior floor is made of rammed earth, the walls are brick, and the roof is wooden with tiles. In front of the house is a courtyard area of over 40 square meters, and behind it is a patio covering more than 20 square meters. In late May 1928, as the White Terror loomed heavily over the Xiang River and the revolutionary situation reached a critical point, the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC made the resolute decision to relocate its headquarters to Fangjia’ao in Anyuan. This site provides important historical evidence for the study of the revolutionary history of that period and was designated as part of the sixth batch of cultural relic protection units of Jiangxi Province in 2018.
