Dacheng Ancient Residence is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Dacheng Ancient Residence is located in Xiaocuo Village, Nanpu Town, Quangang District, Quanzhou City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Originally built in the seventh year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1881), it was constructed alongside the "Dacheng Wharf" by Xiao Jiguang, who also built three large residences at the same time. The Dacheng Ancient Residence consists of three main houses, double wing rooms, as well as a large stone-paved courtyard and a brick-paved courtyard in front of the houses. It served as a small fortress that integrated shops, warehouses, and a wharf. The residence faces east and backs onto mountains while overlooking the sea. At high tide, the seawater comes within just two or three meters of the ground in front of the residence, making cargo loading and unloading extremely convenient. The Dacheng Ancient Residence has a total north–south length of 85.35 meters and an east–west length of 32.13 meters, covering a total area of 2,390.20 square meters. All three main houses have stone foundations, with red bricks and granite used for the exterior walls, a post-and-lintel wooden frame structure, flush gable roofs, and swallowtail ridges.

In 2018, Dacheng Ancient Residence was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Xiaocuo Village: Located on the northeastern cape of Nanpu Town, Quangang District, Xiaocuo Village faces across the sea to Huiyu Village—ranked among “Quanzhou’s Top Ten Charming Villages”—to the east, borders Shage Village and Xianfeng Village to the southwest, lies adjacent to Shangxi Village of Houlong Town to the south, and looks out toward Xiuyu Port in Putian to the north. It is a renowned fishing village and small peninsula surrounded by sea on three sides and backed by mountains on one. The village is about 7 kilometers from the town center, covers a land area of approximately 3.5 square kilometers, and has a sea area of 4 square kilometers.
