By the end of the year at the latest, Quanzhou will add another 135.2 km of slow lanes, spread across all counties (cities, districts) in the city, bringing you a leisurely slow-paced life. Among them, three new slow lanes will be added in the central urban area: the Phase I Waterfront Leisure Greenway, the Phase I Qingyuan Mountain–Binhai Park Greenway, and the Phase II Jieguanting–Jinshan Park Greenway. Yesterday, a reporter learned from the Quanzhou Planning Bureau that the plans have now been finalized.
Slow lanes refer to greenways, including the construction of pedestrian and bicycle path systems. The slow lanes will have bike rental stations, allowing residents to walk or cycle while slowly sightseeing and enjoying the surroundings. At the same time, facilities such as rest pavilions, benches, stone seats, and public toilets will also be installed.
Last year, 51.5 km of slow lanes were completed, including those in the Binhai Park in the urban area, the Phase I Jieguanting–Jinshan Park, and the soon-to-be-completed Taohua Mountain slow lane.
