The number of public bicycle stations in Daxing will reach 300 within the year. Among them, in Daxing New Town, there will be 9 stations per square kilometer, ensuring that residents have access to a public bicycle station within 500 meters from their homes.
It is understood that currently, Daxing District has 90 public bicycle stations, with a total of over 1,800 bicycles. Within this month, the number of public bicycle stations will increase to 140, and the number of bicycles will reach 3,000. A relevant official from the Daxing District Municipal Appearance Committee said that stations are currently mainly set up around subway stations, parks, bus stops, and commercial service areas, and the next step is to install stations in eligible residential communities.
Public bicycles are maintained daily by a dedicated team, which promises to wipe all public bicycles twice every 12 hours under non-extreme weather conditions. If a resident encounters a damaged bicycle during use, they only need to place the damaged bike in the designated damaged-vehicle slot at any station and take a functioning one instead. The public bicycle command center monitors the damaged-vehicle slots, and upon detecting a faulty bicycle, dispatches personnel to retrieve it for repair within two hours.
