The Site of the Meeting of the Central Fujian Regional Committee of the Chinese Communist Party at Sanzhu is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Site of the Meeting of the Central Fujian Regional Committee of the Chinese Communist Party at Sanzhu is located in the Da Hu Shoujian Stone Cave in Houzhai Natural Village, Sanzhu Village, Qianhuang Town, Quangang District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province.

This is a natural stone cave situated more than one kilometer away from the Underground Transportation Station of the Central Fujian CCP in Sanzhu, nestled in the mountainside. It features two concealed entrances, with the interior consisting of two levels that can accommodate over ten people. Since the establishment of the transportation station, the stone cave has served as a location for the Party organization to carry out covert activities.

In October 1947, Huang Guozhang, Secretary of the Central Fujian Regional Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, convened a regional committee meeting at this stone cave with leaders including Lin Runan, Zhu Zenghua, Nian Wenhua, Xu Jiming, and Liu Runshi. The purpose was to convey and implement the “Directive on the Characteristics of the People’s Struggle and the People’s Guerrilla War in Central Fujian, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi” (abbreviated as the “August 28 Directive”) adopted at the meeting of the Regional Committee of the CCP for Central Fujian, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi. The meeting resolved to resolutely implement the spirit of the “August 28 Directive,” immediately disperse armed forces and cadres across various locations, establish and strengthen Party organizations, and mobilize the masses to develop a broader guerrilla war based on their struggle for survival. At the same time, it was announced that the Party membership of Zhu Hanying, which had been wrongly and secretly revoked in 1933, would be reinstated. The Hui’an County Working Committee of the Chinese Communist Party was established, with Zhu Zenghua appointed as secretary and Zhu Hanying added as a member of the county working committee. The Hui’an County Working Committee was placed directly under the leadership of the Central Fujian Regional Committee. The meeting tasked the Hui’an County Working Committee with continuing to restore and develop Party organizations in preparation for launching armed struggle.

This stone cave was destroyed during stone quarrying in 1977. In 2009, the Quangang District Committee and the People’s Government of Quanzhou City designated the site of the stone cave as a protected revolutionary heritage site with a commemorative plaque.

Sanzhu Village: Sanzhu Village is located west of Qianhuang Town, bordering Qianhuang Village to the east, Puhui Village to the south, the intersection village of Tuling Town to the west, and Houzhang Village to the north. It is about 2 kilometers from the town center. The village has a population of 4,759 and 1,200 households. It administers 11 natural villages: Houlin, Houshan, Ducun, Wannei, Xiqian, Tiancuo, Xiabao, Dingbao, Houzhai, Qianzhanglin, and Houzhanglin. There are two forest farms, Kunshan Farm and Laoshu Farm, covering a forested area of about 4,000 mu.
