Zheng Chenggong Theme Park

A patriotic education theme park built to commemorate the national hero Zheng Chenggong. Located in the Daping Mountain area adjacent to the Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Area, with its highest point at an elevation of 132 meters, the park centers around a more than 38-meter-tall bronze statue of Zheng Chenggong on horseback. It serves as an important venue integrating sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, and exercise, and is a great place for local residents to unwind. The entire park includes four main attractions: the main entrance square, Heroes’ Slope, Zheng Chenggong’s Life Story Square, and the mountaintop main sculpture area. It features imitation ancient city walls built with blue bricks, with the wall’s exterior fully replicating the look of ancient fortifications, complete with crenels and observation windows and other military structures. Nearby, there are also tourist facilities such as cascading waterfalls, viewing platforms, and pedestrian walkways. The bronze equestrian statue of Zheng Chenggong, currently the tallest and largest of its kind in the world, faces the outlet of Quanzhou Bay and stands as one of the iconic landmarks of Quanzhou. At night, standing atop the peak of the park and looking out over Quanzhou City, the urban landscape appears like a heavenly metropolis that never sleeps.
