Yankou Coastal Leisure and Resort Tourism Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The ancient Ming and Qing town of Yankou, originally named Nanxun, is the hometown of Shi Lang, the hero who reclaimed Taiwan and unified the nation. Yankou boasts rich and beautiful natural and cultural landscapes, with its most representative attractions being Yankou Beach and the Shi Lang Memorial Hall. Yankou Beach stretches along a 5-kilometer coastline, wide, flat, and covered with high-quality, fine, white, and soft quartz sand that gently meets the sea, creating a spectacular blend of sea and sky. With its pristine environment, naturally superior conditions, clean seawater, and moderate water temperature, Yankou Beach is the ideal natural seaside bathing spot. Additionally, the beach is home to Fujian Province’s Beach Volleyball Training Base and has hosted the National Beach Volleyball Tour (Jinjiang Stop), the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship, and the National Beach Volleyball Grand Slam for four consecutive years.

The Yankou peanuts here are famous far and wide, and to the southeast of Yankou Village lies the beautiful Yankou Beach. The scenic bay features a sandy shore that extends for several kilometers, with vast blue waters in front and a spacious beach surface, presenting a spectacular view and making it an ideal summer seaside destination.

Yankou Village: Located in the eastern part of Longhu Town, Jinjiang City, Yankou was established in the latter part of the Northern Song Dynasty and originally belonged to Xiangge Li of Jinjiang County. During the Yuan Dynasty, it was part of the 17th and 18th districts. The Ming and Qing dynasties continued the old administrative system. It was originally called “Nanxun” and was renamed “Yankou” in the early Qing Dynasty. The ancestors of Yankou came from Guangzhou, Henan, with the Shi surname making up the majority of the population, along with a small number of people with the Nian surname, among others. For centuries, the Han and Manchu peoples have lived together harmoniously, integrating and building their homes as one.
