Jinjiang Museum

Jinjiang Museum, located at No. 382 Shiji Avenue in the city center, is a four-story main building. Its façade features a large forged copper wall relief themed on the “Maritime Silk Road,” which is truly spectacular. The building covers a construction area of 17,000 square meters. In addition to exhibition halls, cultural relics storage rooms, and offices, it also includes an academic lecture hall, a cultural relics shop, and a parking lot. It integrates functions such as collection, exhibition, research, education, and leisure, making it the largest county-level museum in China.

The Jinjiang Museum houses one of the largest collections of cultural relics in the province, with an exhibition area of 5,500 square meters. The main exhibitions include:

"The Historical Landscape of Jinjiang" includes eight themes: Quannan’s Premier County, Coastal Fortress, Maritime Silk Road, Ceramic Garden Marvel, World-Leading Bridges, Sacred Religious Sites, Coastal Zoulu, and Overseas Chinese Glory, showcasing the historical culture and social development of Jinjiang.

"Jinjiang Overseas Chinese History Museum" includes two thematic exhibition halls: "Endless Seas and Skies, Nostalgia for Hometown — The History Exhibition of Jinjiang Chinese Abroad" and "Bonds Across the Taiwan Strait and Kinship with Hong Kong and Macau — Exhibition of Jinjiang Compatriots from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan," with a total exhibition area of 1,800 square meters.

"Endless Seas and Skies, Nostalgia for Hometown – The History Exhibition of Jinjiang Chinese Abroad" is divided into three parts: Venturing Across the Oceans, Pioneering in Foreign Lands, and Hearts Tied to the Homeland. It explains how the people of Jinjiang have engaged in trade and settled overseas since ancient times. Known for their hard work and perseverance, they built friendly relations and worked together with local communities abroad, spreading Chinese culture, integrating into local societies, and contributing to the economic development and prosperity of their host countries. Additionally, Jinjiang-born overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese, while living abroad, kept their homeland in their hearts and contributed significantly to the independence and liberation of China, as well as the economic development and cultural progress of their hometowns.

"Quanzhou Ancient Export Ceramics Museum" includes "Exhibition of Five Hundred Arhats in Porcelain Sculpture" and "Cizao Ceramics Traveling the World."

Jinjiang Museum also has two special exhibition halls that host a variety of theme exhibitions rich in content, highly educational, and innovative in form.
