Anhai Jindun Huang Clan Ancestral Hall

The Anhai Jindun Huang Clan Ancestral Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinjiang City.

The Anhai Jindun Huang Clan Ancestral Hall is located at No. 218 Honghai Road, Anhai Town. Dating from the Qing Dynasty to the modern era, it is categorized as an ancient building.

Originally built during the Chenghua era of the Ming Dynasty, it was burned down in the early Qing Dynasty, later rebuilt, and underwent recent renovations. The existing structure was relocated in recent years, facing southeast and situated northwest, featuring three bays and two courtyards. It retains Qing Dynasty components and embodies the architectural style of Southern Fujian ancestral halls. The people of the Anhai Jindun Huang Clan have produced many notable figures throughout history, with a significant number having emigrated to Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

On September 8, 2019, the Anhai Jindun Huang Clan Ancestral Hall was announced as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units in Jinjiang City.

Anhai Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Jinjiang City. Historically known as Haowan, it has been called Anhai since the Song Dynasty. In 1958, the Wuxing Commune was established, and in 1985 it was renamed Anhai Town. Located in the southwestern part of the city, it covers an area of 67.7 square kilometers with a population of 118,000. The Fu-Xia Expressway and Shixia Highway pass through the area.
