Dongshi Jinping Cai Clan Ancestral Hall

Dongshi Jinping Cai Clan Ancestral Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinjiang City.

Dongshi Jinping Cai Clan Ancestral Hall is located at No. 153 Longjiang Middle Road, Second Community, Dongshi Town. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty to the Republican era, it is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

Originally built in the early Qing Dynasty, the existing structure was renovated during the Republican era. It faces southwest and is oriented northeast, featuring a three-bay, two-courtyard layout, with one restoration stele from the 10th year of the Republic of China (1922).

On September 8, 2019, Dongshi Jinping Cai Clan Ancestral Hall was announced as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units in Jinjiang City.

Protected area: 1.5 meters to the east, 3 meters to the west and north respectively, and 6.5 meters to the south extending to the surrounding wall.

Second Community: This community is located in the central part of Dongshi Town, covering an area of 0.6 square kilometers. It borders Wanda Market to the east, Dongshi Ancient Fortress to the west, Jinyan Embankment to the south, and Yonghu Village to the north. The community has over 20 surnames among its residents, with a registered population of more than 1,800, nearly 2,000 migrant workers, around 6,000 government officials and school staff and students, totaling nearly 10,000 permanent residents. There are more than 10 enterprises and institutions within the area, including the Dongshi Town Party Committee and Government, Public Security Police Station, Overseas Chinese Federation, Chamber of Commerce, Post Office, Telecom Bureau, Grain Station, Power Plant, Cold Storage Plant, Theater, and Qiaosheng Middle School.
