Fenglin Shihui Ancestral Hall

Fenglin Shihui Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Fenglin Shihui Ancestral Hall is located in Meiling Natural Village, Fenglin Village, Wotang Town, Hanjiang District. Originally built during the Song Dynasty and renovated in subsequent dynasties, it faces south and consists of a front hall, a courtyard, a main hall, and other structures, covering an area of 190 square meters. The main hall has three bays in width and four pillars in depth, featuring a post-and-lintel wooden frame and a flush-gable roof. Associated cultural relics include a stele from the fifth year of the Shaoding era of the Song Dynasty (1232) inscribed with “Zenggongpi” and the ancient Longxi Ancestral Shrine building. Fenglin Shihui Ancestral Hall was designated as a Fujian Provincial Cultural Heritage Site in 2013.

Fenglin Village: Fenglin Village is located in the northwest of Wotang Town. To the east it neighbors Xialou Village, to the west it reaches Tiancuo Stream in Shuangting Village, Qiulu Town, to the south it connects to Qiangding and Weili Natural Villages in Xizhuang, and to the north it borders Shuangting Village in Qiuhu Township. A small section of the northern part of Linwai Street belongs to Shuangting Village in Qiuhu Township, and to the southwest it connects to Qinhou Village. Fenglin Village is situated at the northern end of the Wotang Plain and serves as a key route from the Northern Plains of Putian to five mountainous towns in Guangye and Yongtai County.
