Former Site of the Feilian Cave Liaison Station

The former site of the Feilian Cave Liaison Station is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Feilian Cave Liaison Station is located in Nancen Natural Village, Qianpu Village, Zhuangbian Town, Hanjiang District, Putian City.

The Feilian Cave Liaison Station was managed by Huang Wanjin, who was responsible for receiving and escorting members of the underground Communist Party organization in central Fujian. At the same time, he used hairdressing visits to various villages as a cover to carry out underground revolutionary propaganda activities. His barber’s box had two tiers: the upper tier held hairdressing tools, and the lower tier held leaflets. He carried the leaflets with him on every trip to conduct secret propaganda work and focused on recruiting activists to join the revolutionary cause. At that time, there were 50–70 members in the underground organization. Later, due to the betrayal of underground member Ou Jinshui, Huang Wanjin was arrested and sacrificed in Fuzhou in 1942. After that, the liaison station lost contact with the higher-level Party organization.

The former site of the Feilian Cave Liaison Station is located at the foot of the ancient Yuewang Terrace Mountain, bordering Guangshan Village in Baisha Town. It is a single-story earthen-and-timber structure built as an ancestral hall. In 2009, it was demolished due to the construction of the Xiangtang–Putian Railway and was relocated and rebuilt on the lawn in front of the original site. The reconstructed building is a single-story brick-and-timber structure with three rooms, covering an area of over 100 square meters. A village road now leads directly to Feilian Cave, making transportation convenient.
