The Former Site of the Anti-Treason Struggle of the Putian County Committee of the CPC is located in Yuannili Natural Village, Yuancun, Jiangkou Town, Hanjiang District, Putian City.

In April 1934, the higher-level organ of the Communist Party organization in central Fujian — the Fuzhou Central Municipal Committee of the CPC — was destroyed by the Kuomintang. The party secretary Chen Zhishu, committee member Lian Wenlan, and others were arrested and defected, becoming shameful traitors. Subsequently, these traitors led Kuomintang military police to arrest underground CPC members and dismantle underground CPC organizations. The traitors' influence extended from Fuzhou to Putian-Xianyou and Xiamen. The Putian County Central Committee, the Xianyou County Committee, and the Communist Youth League organizations in both counties were successively dismantled. Important cadres of the CPC and CYL in the Putian-Xianyou area, such as Tao Naicun, Fu Yunhuang, Jiang Jiamao, Guan Qinglin, and Wang Dehua, were arrested and defected. They lured and captured revolutionary comrades everywhere, posing a great threat to the survival and struggle of the Party organizations and guerrilla forces. To combat the arrogance of the traitors, a group of steadfast CPC members, represented by Pan Tao, secretary of the Putian County Committee of the CPC, decided to organize “Dog-Beating Squads” in various base villages to mobilize the masses and punish the traitors. After “repenting,” Guan Qinglin, former secretary of the Putian County Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, led plainclothes special agents to Jiangkou Yuancun Primary School to arrest underground CPC member Wang Fu and others. The “Dog-Beating Squad” immediately mobilized the students and masses to seize him and give him a severe beating. Guan Qinglin was beaten black and blue, fled with his head in his hands, ashamed and humiliated, and never dared to show up to cause trouble again. Similar anti-traitor struggles in other base villages such as Yanshou and Sitings also achieved good results. The anti-treason struggles of the “Dog-Beating Squads” across central Fujian effectively curbed the destructive activities of the traitors and facilitated the prompt reconstruction and recovery of CPC organizations at all levels in the region.

The Former Site of the Anti-Treason Struggle of the Putian County Committee of the CPC is Yuancun Primary School, a two-story brick-and-wood building with three rooms on each floor and staircases on both sides, covering an area of approximately 210 square meters. It now serves as the office building of the Yuancun Village Committee.
