The former site of the Provincial Third Primary School Transport Station is located in Guoshan Natural Village, Qinhou Village, Wotang Town, Hanjiang District, Putian City.

The Provincial Third Primary School (now Qinhou Primary School) was founded in 1910. In 1929, the underground Communist Party of Putian carried out revolutionary activities secretly at the school. In the autumn of the same year, after Cai Gongbei took over as the principal, he established a secret transport station at the school, responsible for receiving and escorting revolutionary comrades traveling to and from the area, delivering intelligence, and other tasks. It served as an important liaison point between the mountainous and plains regions. At the end of 1930, after the anti-encirclement struggle of the Waikeng Soviet Area failed, Deng Zihui, the inspection officer of the Fujian Provincial Committee and secretary of the Special Committee, along with other comrades, were led by Ma Bei, chairman of the Waikeng Township Soviet Government, to transfer from the old base area of Baisha Dongdu to the home of Wang Jixiu. From there, Wang Jixiu dispatched eight Red Army soldiers to escort them to the Provincial Third Primary School Transport Station in Qinhou, Wotang. On December 29 of the same year, Deng Zihui held an expanded meeting of the Putian Special Committee of the Chinese Communist Party at the school, deciding to disband the Second Detachment of the Red Army. Four military cadres, including Zhang Wei, returned to the Western Fujian Soviet Area. The work in Putian was overseen by Wang Yujie, Jiang Sheng, and Guo Shouluan. To ensure the safety of the inspection officer from the Provincial Committee, Wang Yujie and others strongly advised Deng Zihui to temporarily leave Putian. He was escorted by underground operatives via Jiangkou to Fuzhou, then on to Eastern Fujian to continue his inspection work. Later, leaders of the Central Fujian Party organization, including Wang Yujie, Wang Jixiu, Cai Wenhuang, Huang Guozhang, and Su Hua, all came to the school to carry out revolutionary work. On the eve of liberation, much revolutionary propaganda work was done in preparation for welcoming the People’s Liberation Army’s southern advance to liberate Putian. The Provincial Third Primary School Transport Station played a significant role in the revolutionary struggle.

The former site of the Provincial Third Primary School Transport Station is the ancestral hall of the Cai family. It faces south and features a two-story, five-bay, earthen-and-wood structure covering an area of 750 square meters. In the autumn of 1926, the Provincial Third Primary School moved to this location. In 1988, after the merger of the two primary schools in the village, the school buildings of the Provincial Third Primary School remained unused. Due to years of neglect, part of the back wall of the school building was damaged. In 2008, with the support of villagers and donations totaling more than 150,000 yuan, the school building was renovated. A memorial hall for the Provincial Third Primary School Transport Station was established in the second-floor hall, displaying stories of the revolutionary struggles in Putian, photos of more than ten martyrs, as well as poems and calligraphy works reflecting revolutionary history by revolutionary predecessors. The rear room on the left side of the central hall served as Deng Zihui’s living quarters. A plaque inscribed with “Zihui Room” by Zhang Zhaohan, a veteran from Central Fujian, hangs above the door. The room displays the simple bed and office desk and chair used by Deng Zihui during his stay.

Qinhou Village: Qinhou Village is located in the northwest of Wotang Town, covering an area of 6.56 square kilometers. It has 7,687 mu of forest, 600 mu of arable land, and 1,600 mu of orchards. The village comprises six natural villages and 25 villager groups, with a permanent population of 3,565.
