The former site of the Communist Youth League Committee of Hanjiang District is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Communist Youth League Committee of Hanjiang District is located at No. 156 Gongxia Road, Canran Community, Handong Subdistrict, Hanjiang District, Putian City.

In the spring of 1928, the CPC Putian County Committee assigned Guo Shouluan to Putian Middle School (now Putian No. 6 Middle School) to carry out—. Guo Shouluan served as the general affairs director at Putian Middle School, where he leveraged students’ strong desire to join party and league organizations to develop active members. Soon after, he officially introduced Huang Zuchu, Chen Yanyi, and others into the league, establishing the first Communist Youth League branch at Putian Middle School. He subsequently trained a number of capable and combative activists who joined the league. In the summer of 1929, following directives from the Fujian Provincial Committee, the CPC Putian County Committee relocated its headquarters to Hanjiang to strengthen its leadership over the labor movement and—. After the move, the committee set up the Communist Youth League Committee of Hanjiang District at Putian Middle School, using it as a key force in carrying out revolutionary activities in the Hanjiang area. The Hanjiang Wenmozhai Bookstore liaison station was also established during this period by league member Dai Mengquan, who used the bookstore’s book and stationery sales as a cover for underground liaison work.

The former site of the Communist Youth League Committee of Hanjiang District is a teaching building of Putian Middle School, built by Mr. Chen Jieren, then president of the Hanjiang Chamber of Commerce, and completed by the end of 1927. As the old campus buildings have been demolished, only an old school gate building remains today. This two-story brick-and-wood structure has a central gateway on the ground floor flanked by one room on each side, with a 0— above the gate, covering a total area of 80 square meters. The CPC Putian Municipal Committee Party History Research Office erected a memorial plaque for its protection in December 2011.
