The former site of the Fujian-Middle Workers' and Peasants' Guerrilla Detachment Headquarters is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Fujian-Middle Workers' and Peasants' Guerrilla Detachment Headquarters is located in Ningli Natural Village, Fengji Village, Zhuangbian Town, Hanjiang District, Putian City.

In late October 1936, to avoid the “encirclement and suppression” operations by the Kuomintang army, the CPC Fujian-Middle Special Committee led the Fujian-Middle Workers' and Peasants' Guerrilla Detachment to voluntarily withdraw from Shanjie and move to the newly developed Ningli area. They took shelter in Xiatiyan (a cave) and an old charcoal kiln deep in the mountains southwest of Ningli, with food supplies supported by the work teams and local residents who helped establish the Ningli activity base. After hiding and regrouping in Xiatiyan, the Fujian-Middle Special Committee, noting that Ningli was a remote mountain village with scattered settlements and sparse population rarely visited by the Kuomintang, decided to secretly develop it into a solid guerrilla base. Accordingly, several work teams were dispatched to carry out mass work in various villages, recruit Party members, organize peasant associations, conduct activities, and actively engage in military training, thereby firmly establishing the Red Army guerrilla presence in Ningli. In early 1940, the CPC Fujian-Southern Special Committee held an anti-Japanese cadre training class in this cave to train key personnel.

The former site of the Fujian-Middle Workers' and Peasants' Guerrilla Detachment Headquarters is also known as the Red Army Cave. One existing cave entrance is overgrown with weeds, while another cave entrance has been blocked.
