The Site of the Zhai Li Struggle Against Local Tyrants Meeting is located in Zhai Li Natural Village, Qiongfeng Village, Dayang Township, Hanjiang District, Putian City.

In early February 1949, the Minzhong Working Committee of the Chinese Communist Party held a struggle meeting in Zhai Li (now Qiongfeng Village, Xixi) to denounce the crimes of local tyrants. The meeting publicly criticized the tyrants, and was presided over by Lin Runan, Deputy Secretary of the Minzhong Working Committee, who also gave a speech. During the meeting, four local tyrants were successively denounced and struggled against. The number of participants grew from three to four hundred to over a thousand. Impoverished peasants who had previously suffered oppression and abuse took the stage one after another to expose the wrongdoings, creating an atmosphere of intense indignation and unprecedentedly high fighting spirit. Militia groups, women’s associations, and other mass organizations were established across various villages, forming a solid mass foundation for the Minzhong Party organization in rural areas.
